New Recycling Program by Ideal Shield

September 16, 2010 - Detroit, Mich. - Throwing away bollard covers is a thing of the past using the Ideal Shield ReSleeve Program.

Ideal Shield's innovative program keeps bollard covers out of the landfill and provides customers with an incentive to recycle old covers. Customers who get involved can ship their covers to the Detroit location and Ideal Shield will recycle them and use them in the production of new bollard covers. Customers will be given a five percent discount for every sleeve they send back.

Ideal Shield's dedication to keeping the planet safe and providing sustainable options allows customers to recycle other brands of bollard covers and still be eligible for the discount off their purchase of the Ideal Shield bollard cover. The manufacturer also recycles all excess plastic used in the production of bollard covers, industrial handrail and guardrail, ensuring their carbon footprint is reduced.

The below link illustrates the recycling process at Ideal Shield.

Since 2009 Ideal Shield has recycled 32.25 tons of plastic and saved 2,316 gallons of paint from being used to paint bollards and continues to develop new products and programs to reduce the amount of plastic and paint in the environment.
