New Oracle Partner Academy to Accelerate Partner Expertise in Business Applications

Oracle PartnerNetwork Education initiative will deliver cost-effective, tailored, professional training to EE-CIS Partners

Istanbul, Turkey, 31-OCT-2007 - Oracle (NASDAQ: ORCL), the world's largest enterprise software company, today launched its first European Enlargement & CIS (EE-CIS) Partner Academy in Istanbul. The Oracle Partner Academy initiative has been developed to increase Oracle's partners' capabilities in the fast growing EE-CIS region and is geared to deliver targeted implementation training in key Oracle technology, with a primary focus on Oracle applications, quickly and cost-effectively.

"The IT market in the EE-CIS region is growing very rapidly and to succeed in today's fast-moving IT industry, partners need to become fully skilled in the latest technologies and products in the shortest possible time," said Michel Clement, Vice President, General Business Technology and Applications Sales, Alliances & Channels, Oracle EE-CIS

"Today we are launching the Oracle Partner Academy to bring rapid, professional and low-cost training. Additionally, the curriculum has been specifically tailored to match the needs of this region. Through this subsidised program, we are committed to making our partners successful, and to ensuring they have the best products, solutions and training."

Oracle expects to deliver 10,000 training days (with courses running on average 10 days) before the end of calendar year 2008, eventually offering programmes for all Oracle products. It is envisaged that the Oracle Partner Academy will become a central contact point for the ongoing education of partners in the region.

Partners from all 35 EE-CIS countries are expected to take advantage of the Oracle Partner Academy and, as such, all courses will be offered in English. Oracle will subsidise partners attending training at the Partner Academy to make the courses more affordable and will also structure the training programmes to minimise the amount of time partners need to be away from their businesses.

To reflect the increase in customer demand for Oracle application products, many of the courses will focus on the company's extensive applications offering, including Siebel, JD Edwards and PeopleSoft products. The Oracle Partner Academy will be expanded to comprehensively cover technology products including Oracle Fusion Middleware and Service Oriented Architecture.

"This initiative is extremely timely and has clearly been designed to address the specific needs of partners operating in the EE&CIS region," said Aydin Ersoz, General Manager, INNOVA

"Applications sales in the region have been growing rapidly and Oracle understands that we need skills to deliver quickly and effectively for our customers. These new courses have clearly been constructed to give us what we need in the shortest time possible. This is an important consideration as we need to be onsite, successfully delivering for our customers," continued Mr Ersoz.

"This is an extremely timely initiative from Oracle and we are looking forward to making use of the Oracle Partner Academy facility. Comprehensive training in, and knowledge of, the solutions we take to market is key to our success. Oracle has made a serious commitment to delivering cost effective education that will give us a competitive advantage. By subsidising these courses, Oracle is providing proof that they are investing in our success," said Ozan Ture, General Manager and Shareholder, Experteam

"It is critical, if our business is to remain successful and grow, that we stay up to speed on the latest technologies and products available from Oracle. We value training and education and it helps us provide a better service for our customers if we receive it frequently and quickly. The Oracle Partner Academy offers accelerated training programs that speed up the learning cycle, giving us more time to work with our customers," added Mr Ture.

The Partner Academy will be based at Oracle education partner Bilginc's office in Istanbul.
