ElectricTV.net Delivers Latest Electrical Industry News Via Streaming Video



BETHESDA, Md., June 1 /-- People searching the 'Net for current information on the electrical and information systems industries can now turn to a lively site that delivers the latest news via streaming video technology. Called ElectricTV.net, this Web-based video news magazine features stories covering a range of timely issues affecting electrical contractors, workers and consumers. An online host guides audiences through the segments. The show can be watched as a whole or viewers can select individual stories.

The program is a joint project of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), working together through their National Labor-Management Cooperation Committee (NLMCC).

In addition to viewing video segments, visitors to ElectricTV.net can read informative articles about the electrical and information systems industries, access an archive of previous programs, and subscribe to receive automatic alerts when a new ElectricTV.net show is available. The producers plan to update the site at least six times a year.

The second edition, just released, contains segments on the state of the electrical grid in North America - and whether this post-World War II system can hold up to 21st century demands; a story on the construction of Portland, Oregon's unique tram system; a piece exploring the dangers of arc flash; construction news and forecasts and more.
