U.S. Senator Carl Levin Visits NCMS



ANN ARBOR, MI - January 7, 2008. United States Senator Carl Levin (D-MI) met with NCMS President Rick Jarman today at NCMS headquarters to explore new avenues of collaboration that would benefit Michigan manufacturers. Included in the discussions was the American Manufacturing Initiative (AMI) which will establish a plan to get the manufacturing sector back on track. The Senator recognizes that many of NCMS' programs are key to achieving that goal.

The AMI brings together government, private industry and academia in a robust partnership aimed at turning around the manufacturing sector of the U.S. economy. NCMS, with its 20 year track record of collaboration, is an important part of revitalizing our domestic manufacturing industry.
