National Respiratory Care Organization Honors Linde Employee

LIVINGSTON, Tennessee, U.S., December 14, 2010 -- Carrie Hylton, a clinical services manager with Linde RSS, based in Tennessee, has been named the 2010 Long Term Care Practitioner of the Year by the American Association of Respiratory Care (AARC).

Linde Respiratory Support Services (RSS) is part of Linde North America, a member of The Linde Group, a world-leading gases and engineering company. Linde RSS, headquartered in Livingston, Tennessee, provides REMEO® respiratory care services as well as equipment in a variety of settings, including sub-acute ventilator care, skilled nursing facilities and patient homes.

The AARC is a professional association of respiratory therapists focused on ensuring that respiratory patients receive safe and effective care from qualified professionals. It also works to support respiratory health care providers.

"I'm very proud to be able to represent the company," Hylton said. "This shows Linde's national leadership in respiratory therapy. I feel fortunate to work for a company that values and encourages people who want to show leadership in their industries."

Hylton has been with Linde RSS for eight years in various positions working her way up from staff therapist to clinical manager.

The award was announced by Gene Gantt, who is business development manager of Linde RSS, and chair of the AARC's Long Term Care Selection Committee. Gantt declined to vote on the award since Hylton is a Linde employee. Each year the AARC solicits nominations for the award from its section membership. The selection is made based on the individual's contributions to the profession and the specialty section.

Expressing his delight at Hylton's win, Gantt said, "The award demonstrates that Linde's people are top notch, which can only enhance our credibility with customers, making them that much more comfortable dealing with us. You just can't put a price tag on this kind of thing."

Hylton is a licensed respiratory therapist in seven states. "She has been the key to winning new business and helping to get those new businesses into operation," Gantt said.

"She has a wide range of experience and expertise in long term care," said Gantt, who was named Long Term Care Employee of the Year in 2005. "We expect more great things from Carrie in the future."
