More Performance with AVT 64-Bit Software Development Kits
More performance for imaging systems with AVT cameras.
Stuttgart, Germany - On the occasion of the VISION 2010 trade fair in Stuttgart, Allied Vision Technologies, one of the leading camera manufacturers worldwide, will announce the expansion of its Software Development Kits (SDKs) for 64-Bit Windows operating systems.
Using the updated versions of the camera interface-independent Universal Package and the Active FirePackage, the latter of which is especially well suited for ActiveX-based application development for 1394 cameras, AVT cameras can now be incorporated into different 64-bit operating systems. Allied Vision Technologies' high-performance SDKs, which have been optimally adapted to certain tasks and customer specifications as needed, enable the simple integration of AVT FireWire und GigE Vision cameras in Windows-, Linux-, Mac OS- oder QNX-based imaging systems. These software packages are available to AVT camera users at no charge.
The software updates should be complete by the end of November 2010, so that beginning in December 2010, all current AVT SDKs will have been updated. Devotees of the DirectShow programming interface however will need to wait a bit: - the AVT Direct Stream Package update will take place later.
"With the comprehensive update of our SDKs that we undertook especially for the 64-bit version of Windows 7, we are moving with the trend toward 64-bit technology in the imaging industry and making it possible for AVT customers to get maximum performance from their system and from their AVT camera,", commented Jens Hashagen, Software Product Manager at Allied Vision Technologies.
