MoGo Mouse X54 Wins 'Best of CES' First-Place Award

Bluetooth trade organization cites innovative design, ease of use

NATICK, Mass., Jan. 18 /- Newton Peripherals, the developer of the revolutionary MoGo Mouse(TM) family of products, today announced that its new MoGo Mouse X54(TM) mouse has won the coveted "Best of CES" award from the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG).

The mouse took first place in the Human Interface Design segment as one of the most innovative and consumer-friendly new Bluetooth-enabled products, beating out a Bluetooth-enabled wireless keyboard from Logitech.

Prior to the beginning of last week's Consumer Electronics Show, member companies of the Bluetooth SIG were invited to submit Bluetooth-enabled products. The Bluetooth SIG carefully tested each product and judged them on a variety of criterion, including ease of use, look and feel, implementation and originality. The products were also judged on their Best of Breed status, a program administered by the Bluetooth SIG that explains how classes of devices should implement specific profiles to provide exceptional user experience. Finalists in each Bluetooth SIG Best of CES category were displayed at Pepcom's Digital Experience! press event on the eve of CES, as well as in the Bluetooth SIG pod at the Sands Exhibition Center. Press and analysts who attended were able to cast the final vote for the winner of each category.

The "Best of CES" award caps a stellar week for Newton Peripherals; the company introduced both the MoGo Mouse X54 and the MoGo Dapter(TM), the world's smallest Bluetooth adapter, to significant praise from reporters and analysts covering the 40th annual CES, North America's largest conference of its kind:

o "Frequent travelers who hate the trackpad controls on their laptops may
find reprieve in the MoGo Mouse." - Ryan Nakishima, Associated Press

o "The mouse resides in the card slot and charges until you need it. It
works over a Bluetooth connection to give you a wireless experience,
and despite the slim profile, it's really comfortable to use." - Cisco
Cheng, Gearlog.com

o "Sometimes you just see something cool at CES. I want one of these.
It flattens down and fits in a laptop card slot, making storage a
breeze for most folks. Pop it out, flip up the 'kickstand' and it
connects to the laptop via Bluetooth. No batteries are required 'cause
it recharges itself in your laptop slot." - Mobile Innov8r

o "MoGo also introduced the tiniest USB Bluetooth adapter. You plug it
into the USB port and leave it there without worrying about it getting
in the way. It's literally the size of a penny, so you probably won't
even notice it." - Gearlog.com

"We are honored to receive the award as one of the best products at this year's CES," said Matthew Westover, Newton Peripherals' President and Chief Executive Officer. "Mobile professionals need products that make their lives easier and more productive; the MoGo Mouse family of products is designed to do exactly that, and we're pleased that the judges have recognized their value."
