New owners invest big to cultivate Fans First, Team Always culture
Mika Metal Fabricating, a full-service Northern Ohio custom sheet metal fabricator, officially announces it was acquired in the Fall of 2020 by Weybridge, LLC of Shaker Heights, Ohio.

Shelfer, a Cleveland transplant from Miami, Florida with a flair for entrepreneurial turnarounds adds, “this culture drives employee and customer satisfaction through honest, transparent communication, making Mika Metal a place people want to work and customers want to engage with. Combined, it forms the cornerstone of our competitive advantage”.
The company is nearing Phase I completion to upgrade production and office spaces. Shop floor renovation includes installing energy efficient LED lighting and wi-fi, adding safety and security systems, beta testing job tracking hardware and software, purchasing small capital equipment, implementing retina scanning time clock technology along with improving ventilation and performing general cleanup. The offices have been refreshed with new ceiling tiles, paint, floor restoration, LED lighting, television monitors, remodeled bathrooms and upgraded kitchen area.
To improve customer satisfaction the organization is implementing web-based technologies across key areas of the organization such as estimating, inventory management, sales and marketing to streamline processes that will help keep costs down and reduce lead times.
Phase II will include larger capital equipment purchases, upgraded engineering software and outsourcing fractional HR and Safety functions.
Mika Metal, operating since 1939, supplies the medical, surgical, electronics, energy, electrical and general industrial markets. Specialties include: autoclave sterilization trays, medical/surgical carts, industrial cabinets, racks, enclosure boxes and energy dispensing units made from carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel, aluminum and perforated metal.
