Marking Methods Announces Addition of New Laser

SAN DIEGO, CA, October 16, 2008 - Marking Methods, Inc., an industry leader in the field of permanent identification for commercial and consumer products, recently announced an addition of a new 100W carbon dioxide (CO2) laser in its production line at its San Diego area location. This will compliment the CO2 laser currently in use at the Alhambra office, as well as the numerous YAG lasers at both locations. The need for a additional laser was evident due to the increase in work for customers requiring cutting and engraving of plastics, ceramics, and other materials.

The addition of this laser will help Marking Methods shorten lead times and expand into industries that may benefit from the use of a CO2 laser. A CO2 laser is designed for cutting and engraving of wood, glass, some metals, and plastics. Marking Methods is looking to serve these industries that have the need and use for cutting and engraving of Mylar, Delrin, marble, fiberglass, tile, cork, Corian, textiles, leather, glass, as well as various other materials. The new laser will help compliment the numerous marking techniques that Marking Methods, Inc offers, such as Electro-Chemical Marking, Dot-Peen (Stylus) Marking, Laser Marking, Hot Stamping, and Pad-Printing.
