Mack Growth Partners Announced Today that The Assets of The Day Piston Company of Cleveland, OH have been Purchased by its Newly Formed Entity Day Piston Group LLC

Cleveland, OH USA – August 31, 2022 – MACK GROWTH PARTNERS announced today that the assets of the Day Piston Company of Cleveland, OH have been purchased by its newly formed entity Day Piston Group LLC

Founded in 1919, Day Piston Company is a fourth-generation family manufacturing company, with operations located at 9117 St. Catherine Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44104. Day Piston provides critical high-tolerance pistons for air compressor and braking systems to original equipment manufacturers and aftermarket products companies. The Day Piston Company recently won the 2022 Northeast Ohio Family Business Achievement Award.

The Day Piston Group will continue the legacy of the Day Piston Company. All employees will continue with the new company and manufacturing will remain at its current location. “We look forward to growing our business right here in Cleveland Ohio and continuing to support our customers, colleagues, suppliers, and neighbors in our community” stated Mark Kasinec, of Mack Growth Partners. “We believe Day Piston will continue gain new customers and develop new products as North America re-shores its manufacturing capabilities. Although Mr. Myron Day, will no longer lead the company, he is welcome to visit and to share his 95 years of wisdom. Mr. Carl Gomoll will be the General Manager and will shift his quality responsibilities to Mr. Dexter Shreve (who is also an owner in the new business). “Mark, Dexter and Aaron are the right guys, at the right time, to lead this company into the next decades capitalizing on the high quality and standards that have been demonstrated in the prior 100+ years” stated Carl Gomoll. “We are excited that the company is continuing on in such great hands.” Mr. Clyde (Skip) Jones will remain in production management and shift some of his facility responsibilities to Dexter. Also joining the company to support business development is Mr. Aaron Caplan. Aaron has 30 years of sales and management experience and is also one of the new owners of the company. Carl, Dexter, Skip, Aaron, and Mark will serve as the management team.
