MacDermid Autotype Completes Rebranding Effort


SCHAUMBURG, Illinois, December 14, 2006 - MacDermid Autotype, a leading manufacturer of
advanced optical, industrial and printing films and screen chemicals, has announced that, as of
the beginning of 2007, it will be retiring the 30-year-old "Autotype in a box" logo in favor of the
MacDermid tartan design.

The change brings all of the parent company's products worldwide under the MacDermid
banner and represents the final step in a rebranding process that began with the 2005
acquisition of Autotype by MacDermid. The company emphasizes that the 138 year-old
Autotype name will live on as part of the company's extensive range of screen printing, graphics
and pre-press films, such as Autotype Capillex, Autotype Five Star and Autotype Autosol direct
emulsions.

"The acquisition by MacDermid in 2005 has enabled us to extend our investment in innovative
high-performance films that offer unique properties for telecommunications, electronics,
automotive, printing and healthcare applications," explained Graham Cooper, President of
MacDermid Autotype Inc. "Just as importantly, now that we have completed the move of our US
manufacturing and distribution operations to Middletown Delaware, we're fully focused on
further strengthening our technical and customer support services and distribution networks," he added.
