Exton, Pa. - 11 May 2006 - Bentley Systems, Incorporated today announced that Lord Sebastian Coe, chairman of the London Organizing Committee for the 2012 Olympics and one of Britain's greatest athletes, will be a keynote speaker at BE Conference Europe. The conference takes place 11-15 June 2006 in Prague, Czech Republic.

The BE Conference is an annual gathering of Bentley software users and their managers who want to sharpen their skills and expand their knowledge. Attendees better themselves, better their organizations, and better the ways they can improve the world's infrastructure. Year after year, BE Conference scores a 99 percent satisfaction rating among attendees.

Lord Coe will address the critically important role of the design and construction industry in the 2012 Olympics. By ensuring that London successfully develops Olympic-class infrastructure for the athletes and visitors, the industry also assumes responsibility for helping the city deliver the greatest Olympics ever, and for leaving a positive legacy in the built environment.

"I can't think of a more interesting topic for our BE Europe keynote or a more appropriate person to present it," said Tony Flynn, Bentley CMO. "We all can learn from Lord Coe's unflagging pursuit of the Olympic bid for London and his articulation of the infrastructure needs for this worldwide event of unique scale. We are proud to have him at our conference."

Lord Coe has won two Olympic gold medals and holds 12 world records in track events, including the 800-meter, 1,000-meter, 1,500-meter, and one-mile run. He retired from athletics in 1990 and in 1992 became a Member of Parliament for Falmouth and Cambourne. In 1997 he became a member of the International Olympic Committee.

In May 2004, Lord Coe was appointed chairman of London 2012, the organization that successfully lobbied to bring the Olympic Games to London. Given the stiff competition that involved New York, Madrid, Moscow, and Paris - widely considered the favorite - the win was heralded by some as Lord Coe's greatest victory.

He has also chaired the Sports Council's Olympic Review and has written five books: "Born to Run," co-written by David Miller, "Comeback," co-written by David Miller, "Running for Fitness," co-written by Peter Coe, "The Olympians," and "More Than a Game."

To register for BE Conference Europe, which takes place 11-15 June 2006 at the Hilton Prague, Czech Republic, go to www.be.org.
