This common net- centric infrastructure links warfighters with all the DoD intelligence assets within the DCGS enterprise, which is the family of systems and programs that deliver intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities and data.

What: Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) Integration Backbone
Lockheed Martin has provided Air Force commanders at
different locations with immediate access to each other's
intelligence imagery and services, by the early fielding of
the DIB. Users of previously "stove-piped" autonomous
intelligence databases now have access to the intelligence
they need, when they need it

When: Thursday, February 8, 2007
11:00 am to 12:00 pm
Lunch will be provided

Where: AFA WARFARE SYMPOSIUM
Westminster Room (near Lockheed Martin's booth #102)
Buena Vista Palace Hotel
1900 Buena Vista Drive
Lake Buena Vista, FL

Who: Mark Grablin, Director, Lockheed Martin ISR Ground Systems

Background: As an integrated component of the DoD information grid, DCGS
serves as the Air Force's primary architecture to deliver
direct and indirect ISR information to the Joint Force Air
Combatant Commander. The DCGS web supports the rapid
identification, acquisition and destruction of targets,
cinching tight the chain between sensor and shooter. Through
DCGS, warfighters can perform their function with greater
speed and ease by accessing real-time data from national,
joint, interagency and multi-national assets.
