Local Facilities and Service from a Global Brand Showcased at NPE 2012

Changing its name from American Maplan Corporation to battenfeld-cincinnati USA, the company had its most successful NPE show ever - introducing the latest developments of the extended battenfeld-cincinnati group product portfolio at their booth and at a customer focused hospitality event. The NPE booth generated a significant rise in traffic, leads and business.

Since the mid 1970's American Maplan Corporation has been providing complete extrusion solutions with high quality equipment and services for the US and Latin American markets. Along with its own line of equipment for the US market, the facility in McPherson, Kansas has been offering the equipment of Battenfeld Extrusionstechnik and Cincinnati Extrusion since 2008. With the formation of the battenfeld-cincinnati brand in April 2010, McPherson has become the US operations base for the largest extrusion brand worldwide. At NPE 2012 the company announced it would change its name to battenfeld-cincinnati USA to reflect the group brand.

battenfeld-cincinnati's structure is comprised of three divisions (Infrastructure, Construction and Packaging) that allow the company to pool its resources and extensive experience to focus on customers' end product applications.

At a successful hospitality evening attended by over 100 visitors on the first day of the show, Kurt Waldhauer, President of battenfeld-cincinnati USA explained: "We will change the American Maplan brand name, but not its dedication to customer satisfaction for premier extrusion solutions and service."

Jürgen Arnold, CEO of battenfeld-cincinnati added: "The success of our customers is the basis for battenfeld-cincinnati's success - we are one company with a worldwide outlook and local sales and service to provide our customers with the latest extrusion solutions and the support they need."

battenfeld-cincinnati USA introduced the company and its portfolio along with the latest innovations of the battenfeld-cincinnati group. These innovations included the Multi-Touch roll stack for sheet extrusion the new extruder series solEX and twinEX, solutions for XXL pipe extrusion in diameters up to 2,500 mm and a revolutionary new end product premiered by its strategic alliance partner, Eovations.

The NPE was not only a success for the show organizers, but also for battenfeld-cincinnati. The number of visitors registered was higher than ever before and customer interest in the extended portfolio was abundant, particularly in the new solEX series and the Multi-Touch roll stack. The company also received an order from Vinyl Compounds, UK, for a PVC rigid and PVC soft pelletizer which was confirmed at the last day of the show.
