Linde Gas LLC Announces Corporate Restructuring

Better Fit for Customers
Cleveland (December 1, 2005) - Linde Gas LLC announced today an organizational restructuring to maximize the full range of its resources - human, financial and technical. This represents a streamlining that gives Linde greater agility to focus more intently on its customers to generate innovative gas technology and advanced welding solutions for them.
"This change positions us for high growth as the 'supplier of choice' for our customers," said Linde Gas LLC President Pat Murphy. "It creates an efficient infrastructure to better leverage Linde's world-class technologies and unleash the creativity of our organization."
Jack Brull, Senior Vice President, Industrial Gas Sales will lead a unified sales team comprised of industrial gas sales, customer service and branch operations in the U.S. and the Caribbean. This group will focus on cylinder, bulk and hardware sales. The sales organization is divided into four geographic areas headed by the following executives: Dave Carter, Vice President South; Scott Latta, Vice President Midwest; Kevin McBride, Vice President South Atlantic; and Scott Snyder, Vice President East.
Complementing that change, Linde has created a new Commercial Development business unit. This group is devoted to promoting the full Linde technology portfolio and range of unique capabilities to customers throughout North America. Howard Hubert, Senior Vice President, Commercial Development will lead this group headed by the following executives: Chris Ebeling, Vice President of Linde Engineered Solutions; Robert Capellman, Manager of Segment Marketing; Todd Morris, Manager of Specialty Gases, Chemicals and Safety Products; Mike Klaasse, Manager of Strategic Product Management; and Joachim Berkmanns, Manager of Linde Innovations.
Unchanged are the highly-specialized business divisions of On-site Gas Supply Systems led by Gene Allen, and Linde's medical gases company, LifeGas, headed by Mike Walsh.
This continues the evolution begun in January 2004 when Linde Gas LLC was formed by combining three strong U.S. organizations AGA, Holox and Linde Gas. Today, Linde services the industrial and specialty gas requirements of industries such as manufacturing, food processing, energy, chemicals, metals, environmental conservation, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare and construction.
