Lighting Systems Index shows mixed results in Q1 2016.

Fixtures and emergency lighting, which are components of said index, gained on year-over-year basis, while other components – ballasts, miniature lamps, and large lamps – recorded year-over-year declines.

Lighting Systems Index Decreased in First Quarter with Mixed Results for Components



ROSSLYN, Va.—NEMA’s Lighting Systems Shipments Index, a measure of demand for lighting equipment, decreased 0.8% quarter-to-quarter while posting a 0.6 percent increase year-over-year during 2016Q1. Fixtures, and emergency lighting, components of the index, gained ground on a year-over-year basis, while ballast, miniature lamp, and large lamp, components recorded year-over-year declines.
