Leading Wear Protection: Reiloy Westland to Display New Mixer concept at NPE along with Their Highly Wear-resistant Barrels and Screws

Wichita Kansas – Reiloy Westland will present its technological solutions for the plastics industry at the NPE exhibition in Orlando, FL, from March 23 to 27. Under the slogan 'Rethinking Technology', the company will showcase their latest features and system technologies at booth W 3543 in the West Hall.
Reiloy Westland introduces new mixer design concept In 1991 the Eagle mixing screw was introduced to the market. Over the last 24 years the Eagle design has been continually refined, allowing its use with the widest range of resins in the plastics industry. As a low shear mixer, its ability to provide both dispersive and distributive mixing, improve isothermal melt quality and increase throughput make it the "go to" mixer for many processors, especially those with rigorous quality standards.
At NPE 2015, Reiloy Westland Corporation introduces our new patent pending, mixer design concept. We've taken everything we've learned from (and processors love) the original Eagle mixer, and applied it during the design process. With minor modifications, we anticipate our mixer will be utilized in injection molding, extrusion, injection blow and other plastics processing applications. The projected quality mixing obtained without introducing excessive shear will offer improved profitability for processors. During the show, stop at our booth to see an example of the new mixer concept.
New machine and new building for Reiloy Westland
Reiloy Westland Corporation will take delivery on a Weingärtner mpmc 600-6000 Machine in July 2015. This 5 axis, multi-purpose machining center will be used in the manufacturing of both barrels and screws. It also increases the dimensional capacity of products manufactured by Reiloy Westland Corporation. The Weingärtner mpmc series of machines are the leading technology in machining today.
The new machine will arrive in time to be placed in Reiloy Westland's new facility, slated for completion in June 2015. This state-of-the-art building is being designed to increase efficiencies during every step of production and support. The 55,000 sq ft facility is over double the size of Reiloy Westland's current location and will facilitate the future growth plans of the company.
Well known in the industry for their expertise in precision custom designed injection molding screws, Reiloy Westland is building on that reputation in the production of extrusion screws. With the expertise provided by Reiloy Westland's parent company, Reifenhäuser Gruppe (also known as the "Extrusioneers"), Reiloy Westland is able to provide extrusion customers the same experienced advise in designing and processing with extrusion components. Reiloy Westland utilizes sales, processing and mechanical engineers for design reviews on new projects for specific resins. This combined expertise results in components custom designed for optimum use in many plastic processes like injection molding, extrusion and blow molding.
