Executives from Starbucks, Travelocity, Equifax, Bayer and Other Companies Discuss Real-World Business Challenges and Technology Solutions

DIALOG 2008 will be held on February 24-26, 2008 at Westin Mission Hills Resort in Palm Springs, California. General tracks will be led by global IT leaders, analysts and authors, who will discuss best practices for effectively managing change and complexity, better alignment of business objectives with IT, increasing ROI on IT investments and other industry trends and concerns. In product-centric tracks, attendees will also learn how their companies can harness ILOG technology and products to be more profitable and build greater flexibility and agility into their organizations.
Executives from Starbucks, Travelocity, Equifax, Minnesota Housing Finance Agency, Bayer, IBM and others will present "deep-dive" case studies and interactive sessions on how better leveraging technology has helped them build stronger, more successful companies. The event is being co-sponsored by IBM, Microsoft, Wipro Technologies and Software AG.
Thought-provoking keynotes on innovation will be coupled with sessions focused on effective Business Process Management, Service Oriented Architecture deployment and Web 2.0 technologies and their impact on the 2.0 enterprise. Notable presentations include "Do You Have Velocity Leadership?" from technology trends and innovation expert Scott Klososky who will share a new model for organizations to manage speed and change that is challenging executive teams globally. Jon Ferraiolo, OpenAjax Alliance member will discuss "Power of Mashup Technology - Helping the Enterprise Meet the Promise of Web 2.0 and SOA". On a related theme, Gartner Group Vice President and Chief Gartner Fellow Daryl Plummer will discuss the intersection of SOA, rules, processes and events. Other notable speakers include Barry Vandemier, CTO of Travelocity, who is well recognized for Travelocity's efforts in deploying Web 2.0 technologies, such as Ajax and mashups, for the next generation of online travel.
Technical tracks will focus on ILOG's four industry-leading technologies with a track record of accelerating organizational readiness -- Business Rules, Optimization, Visualization and Supply Chain applications. MIT professor and global supply chain authority, David Simchi-Levi in his "Countering the Risks of Off-shoring & Lean Manufacturing" track, will address how industry trends such as outsourcing, off-shoring and lean manufacturing reduce costs but significantly increase the level of risk in the supply chain. Bob Bixby, ILOG Chief Science Officer, will present "The Evolution of Optimization in Business."
