Laurent Jauniaux of the European Space Agency Receives Golden Circle Award

ARCHIBUS Award Recognizes Excellence in Total Infrastructure and Facilities Management

Boston, Massachusetts-June 27, 2005-ARCHIBUS, Inc., developer of the world's #1 Total Infrastructure and Facilities Management (TIFM) solution, recently presented its Golden Circle Award to Laurent Jauniaux of the European Space Agency, Europe's major space exploration organization.

The Golden Circle Award is presented to an individual whose facility management practices contribute to creating and managing productive work environments that support objectives of the corporate business plan. This individual demonstrates consistent and outstanding facilities management strategies resulting in improved quality of service and facility effectiveness, and their efforts contribute to the overall profitability of their organization.

Laurent Jauniaux, Head of Infrastructure and Security at European Space Agency (ESA), has used ARCHIBUS/FM to help consolidate information and establish common site management practices throughout the organization. To meet this objective, Jauniaux and his associates have automated data flow among the three corporate applications for employee information management, have enhanced space management and introduced benchmarking figures, and can now track and control preventive and on-demand maintenance costs. In addition, the team has created a single database for all ESA sites with self-service features via the Web, significantly reducing administrative tasks.

"Today, the Computer Integrated Facility Management [CIFM] system is fully deployed and our original objectives have been reached beyond expectation," says Jauniaux. "It encourages a common approach and common procedures at all sites for managing drawings, accommodations, equipment, and user requests. In addition, it is ready for future evolutions, including extension to other ESA sites and departments."

The ARCHIBUS Awards of Excellence were conferred at the 2005 International ARCHIBUS/FM Users' Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona.
