L-3 Communications Awarded $27.2 Million Task Order to Support the Combat Service Support Automation Management Office in Kaiserslautern, Germany

NEW YORK--L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) announced today that its Government Services, Inc. (L-3 GSI) subsidiary and Technical and Management Services Division (L-3 TMSD) recently won a five year task order valued at $27.2 million for the management and operation of the Combat Service Support Automation Management Office (CSSAMO) supporting the 21st Theater Support Command (21st TSC) in Kaiserslautern, Germany. The task order was competitively awarded by the General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Systems Integration and Management Center (FEDSIM) under the GSA Millennia Lite contract.

With this program, L-3 TMSD will build upon their previous five year task order in which they provided management and technical support for the maintenance of Standard Army Management Information Systems (STAMIS), as well as CSSAMO automation maintenance support services and analysis of STAMIS hardware and software. The effort draws upon subject matter expertise in all supported systems sufficient to troubleshoot and repair, install and configure operating system and STAMIS software, apply software updates and provide desk-side training for users of the systems.

"We look forward to continuing our close working relationship with the 21st TSC, providing logistics automation and IT support," said Earl Pontius, President and General Manager of L-3 TMSD. "The 21st TSC and 7th Army will be undergoing significant change, realigning organization and missions throughout the U.S. Army's operations in Europe. We embrace the opportunity to provide assistance during this time of transformation."
