KTI Expands Electron Beam Welding Capacity
KTI Inc ., an industry leader in Electron Beam welding techology recent expanded their capabilites and capacity. A Wentgate 12”x12” EB chamber has been added to KTI’s EB welding facility. This machine can pump down in 30 seconds greatly reducing welding time, unit cost and tooling requirements. Depth of penetration is .500“
A second machine, a Leybold W – 3, will be on line first quarter 2018 . This is a 15KW machine with a chamber size of 108” L x 56” W x 66” H. This EB chamber expands KTI’s weld depth capabilities as well as capacity to handle customer volume growth.
