Kolene Re-establishes Direct Distribution of Recover Products
DETROIT, Aug. 28 -- Kolene Corporation announced it will discontinue its joint venture with German-based ABL TECHNIC as of August 31, 2007 and resume selling its Recover chemical and equipment products directly to North American accounts.
Kolene and ABL TECHNIC formed the joint venture, Recover Technic LLC, in May 2006 to develop the distribution and sales of Kolene's Recover chemical products and related equipment throughout North America.
"The joint venture was an attempt to combine Kolene and ABL TECHNIC expertise in low-temperature coatings removal processes," stated Mr. Roger Shoemaker, President and CEO of Kolene. "We discovered, however, that North American customers can be better served through Kolene's direct sales and service organization."
The Recover chemical products available from Kolene are effective in removing e-coat, powder and liquid paint and coatings from a wide variety of substrates. The processes are specifically directed toward reclaiming reject components and are compatible with magnesium, zinc, aluminum, galvanized and other reactive metals as well as highly-polished substrates.
