Ken Kerschner Assumes New Market Development Roles at Venture Lighting International


STREETSBORO, Ohio (October 7, 2008) - Ken Kerschner has recently been named product manager for electronic pulse start MR16 track lighting systems, tradeshow manager and electric utility rebate manager for Venture Lighting International. Kerschner has worked for more than three years as senior product manager and market development manager at Venture Lighting and will continue his responsibilities in market development and public relations, noted Ken Hawley, Venture Lighting International vice president of sales.

As product manager for Venture's MR16 track lighting technology, Kerschner will manage all development, marketing and sales activities related to this low-wattage, energy-saving and improved color alternative to traditional halogen track lighting for retail lighting, auto dealership showrooms and art/museum gallery lighting. He will also manage all Venture Lighting tradeshow activities, which now encompass lighting, retail, automotive, national account and electric utility markets.
As electric utility rebate manager, Kerschner is responsible for the promotion of pulse start metal halide technology to electric utilities nationwide as an energy-saving alternative to other lighting technologies. Primary focus will be on increasing utility rebates available to customers for choosing this state-of-the-art and "green" lighting technology.

Kerschner earned a master in business administration degree from Cleveland State University, graduating Beta Gamma Sigma. He is a member of the Association of Energy Engineers and the American Marketing Association.
