JMP Engineering Receives Certification as a Cognex Partner System Integrator

LONDON, ON, January 16, 2009 - JMP Engineering announced today that it has received certification from Cognex Corporation as a Cognex Partner System Integrator (PSI). JMP Engineering was given PSI certification due to its proficient use of Cognex Corporation's products in order to create customized integrated solutions for its clients as well as its ability to create new productized solutions for the market place. This will enhance performance, reduce production costs, and allow companies to streamline their products.

"We are very pleased to receive this certification," reported Ken McLaughlin, Director of Automation at JMP Engineering. "Having PSI certification will allow us to help improve our customers' productivity, while reducing the costs associated with automated systems. We will be able to use enhanced vision systems to provide our customers with the tools and systems to become globally competitive."

JMP Engineering was chosen to receive this certification because of the success of its past collaborations with Cognex Corporation: "Cognex PSI's are among the most highly skilled vision experts in the world," said Kris Nelson, Senior Vice President of Sales at Cognex Corporation. "We have partnered with JMP on a series of successful vision products and are proud to have JMP as our newest PSI."

About PSI Certification

Cognex Corporation (www.cognex.com) partners with companies, offering them PSI certification in order to improve quality, eliminate production errors, and lower manufacturing costs. PSI certification allows companies to use Cognex's integrated machine vision systems to create individualized solutions to manufacturing problems. It gives the company the means with which to assess a specific situation, develop a solution, and integrate that solution into an existing production line.
