Jervis B. Webb Company Expands Smartcart® Sales Efforts with Value-Added Reseller Agreements


Farmington Hills, Mich. (July 10, 2008) - Jervis B. Webb Company - a subsidiary of Daifuku Company, Ltd., and leading provider of innovative material handling solutions - announced agreements today with nine Value-Added Resellers (VARs) to sell Webb's SmartCart Automatic Guided Carts (AGCs). The VARs include:

o Advanced Equipment Company - Charlotte, N.C.
o Conveyability - Grand Rapids, Mich.
o Skarnes, Inc. / DL Systems - New Brighton, Minn.
o FLEXiCELL Robotic Systems - Ashland, Va.
o HCM Systems, Inc. - Willowbrook, Ill.
o Herr Industrial, Inc. - Lititz, Pa.
o Lorik Tool & Automation, Inc. - Brantford, Ontario (Canada)
o Schneider Packaging Equipment Company, Inc. - Brewerton, N.Y.
o Technical Packaging Systems - Kalamazoo, Mich.

The VARs will supply, install and service Webb's SmartCart AGCs to customers within their geographic area. The Webb Company plans to continue to sign agreements with VARs in strategic locations across the U.S. and Canada.

SmartCart AGCs are flexible, cost-effective automatic guided vehicles (AGVs) that are ideal for moving products on an assembly line or transporting goods throughout a plant or warehouse. SmartCart AGCs are guided by magnetic tape, allowing for quick installation or modification of the guidepath. In addition, SmartCarts' load handling frames can be customized and replaced to accommodate new products.
