Iron Mountain and Stratify Partner to Enhance eRecords Management with Advanced eDiscovery Services

Alliance increases litigation preparedness and streamlines eDiscovery response for Iron Mountain customers

BOSTON and MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Jan. 29 -- Iron Mountain Incorporated (NYSE:IRM), the global leader in information protection and storage services, and Stratify, Inc., a leader in advanced electronic discovery services for the legal market, announced the formation of an alliance to provide Stratify's advanced electronic discovery capabilities to Iron Mountain customers. Corporations will be able to easily leverage the powerful capabilities of the Stratify Legal Discovery(TM) service using their data that is stored and protected by Iron Mountain to efficiently analyze and review data during internal investigations as well as for litigation or regulatory discovery requests.

Under the alliance, attorneys whose corporations rely on Iron Mountain's scalable eRecords Management solutions to manage, store or archive their data can directly transfer data to Stratify's secure data processing facilities. The information -- whether it is an email, electronic file or paper document -- will be processed by the Stratify Legal Discovery application and made available for attorney review and analysis in litigation, regulatory and internal investigations. With the partnership, customers reduce risk and cost and increase productivity by maintaining a single chain of custody during the eDiscovery process for data stored with Iron Mountain.

"Our alliance with Stratify will help our customers reduce eDiscovery and litigation-related risks while improving preparedness," said John Clancy, President of Iron Mountain Digital, the technology arm of Iron Mountain. "Changes in the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure highlight the importance of electronic information for litigation and internal investigations. The combination of Iron Mountain's data protection and records management solutions with Stratify's advanced eDiscovery capabilities will allow our customers to quickly and effectively respond to internal investigations, regulatory or litigation discovery."

The Stratify Legal Discovery service provides law firms and general counsels with the most comprehensive, easy-to-use and reliable eDiscovery capabilities for early case assessment and efficient review. Stratify has consistently introduced new eDiscovery capabilities including concept-based review, near-duplicate management and visual email analytics that enable customers to achieve review rates that are significantly faster than in-house systems and other online review systems. The Stratify Legal Discovery service provides attorneys a single review application for native electronic documents, securely managing documents through the entire discovery lifecycle. Stratify's complete feature support for European and complex languages such as Chinese, Japanese and Korean in a single review application removes all barriers to in-depth eDiscovery for corporations active in today's expanding global economy.

"Our alliance with Iron Mountain responds directly to the needs of General Counsel and Compliance Officers today," said Ramana Venkata, CEO Stratify. "Corporations are under enormous pressure to respond to discovery requests and manage internal investigations as cost-effectively as possible. Stratify's advanced eDiscovery solution will allow Iron Mountain customers to easily analyze and review documents and emails, whether in the context of early case assessment or large-scale reviews."

With this partnership, Iron Mountain offers its customers a more comprehensive approach to the eDiscovery process. Stratify's Legal Discovery Service complements Iron Mountain's existing eRecords Management solutions including: Digital Archives, an outsourced electronic records management service for secure, legally compliant and cost-effective archiving of electronic records such as e-mail, instant messages and images; Litigation Preservation Archiving, Data Restoration Services; paper-to-digital conversion; Litigation Readiness and eRecords Management Consulting.
