Ingenico and TASQ Technology Expand North American Relationship with Warranty/Service and Reseller Agreement for all INGENICO Terminal Products

ATLANTA, April 30: Ingenico, a global leader in secure payment and transaction solutions, announced today that it has signed a reseller agreement with TASQ Technology, a wholly owned subsidiary of First Data Corp. (NYSE:FDC), to sell and provide warranty service on its entire U.S. and Canadian product range of Ingenico. First Data recently announced the acquisition of a Canadian operation to provide equipment sales and logistics, warranty and repair services, key injection, point of sale (POS) supplies, and call center services to Canadian financial institutions and ISO's.

"We see TASQ as a significant partner in building our business in the United States as they are the largest service provider for transaction terminals in the country. Our solutions are being well received by U.S. TASQ customers and we will work closely with TASQ and its Canadian affiliates to help make their entrance into the Canadian market a success" said Geoff Bowen, President, Ingenico North America.

"TASQ's reputation for outstanding service was a compelling reason to get them involved in Ingenico's warranty program. We look forward to their expertise enhancing the overall experience of purchasing an Ingenico product in North America via TASQ's quality repair and service culture," continued Bowen.

The agreement encompasses for the first time, the selling of Ingenico's integrated terminal line, primarily targeted at Value-Added Resellers (VARs) and tier one merchants that purchase directly. These products have become increasingly popular with specialty merchants wishing to add sophistication to their POS systems through the use of their VAR, and TASQ's distribution and service expertise will add another dimension to this growing market segment.

Other products covered under the agreement include the popular i5100, i5310 and i7780. The Ingenico 7780 is a secure, short-range portable transaction terminal that allows credit, PIN debit, stored value and EBT payment to be brought to the customer. With a range of more than 1500 feet, the i7780 is ideally suited for Pay@Table(TM) and curbside applications in restaurants and bars, for in car service at drive-in quick lube chains, for retail merchants looking to maintain clutter free display cases, use at sidewalk sales, or anywhere a wireless terminal would improve customer service or operating efficiencies.

The i5100 and 5310 are IP-enabled countertop transaction terminals capable of operating in either dial or IP communication modes. Operating in IP, transaction speeds are decreased to as few as 4 seconds, thus offering the merchant improved checkout speed and service. Capable of handling credit, debit, and other magnetic card transactions such as loyalty, prepaid and more, the i5100 is a versatile, robust and cost efficient way for merchants everywhere to accept electronic payments.
