Industrial Knife Companies Attain ISO 9001:2015 Standards Certification
Southbridge, MA (January 10, 2018) – Two divisions of Hyde Industrial Blade Solutions (IBS), a leading producer of industrial blades and knives, recently received ISO 9001:2015 standards certification by the United Registrar of Systems (URS) from the United Kingdom. PDK Design & Grinding and D&S Manufacturing attained certification recognizing the companies’ abilities to meet or exceed the most current, ISO standard for world-class specifications for products, services and systems, to ensure quality, safety and efficiency.
In early 2017, PDK and D&S relocated their sales and manufacturing and service operations to Hyde’s certified ISO 9001:2015 facility in Southbridge in a move designed to continue to integrate operations, expand the sharing of resources and knowledge of a wide array of industries.
Following a transition audit by URS across all departments including manufacturing, purchasing, quality control and inspection, logistics, sales, customer service and equipment service, PDK and D&S were covered by the ISO 9001:2015 certification.
D&S Manufacturing specializes in the manufacturing of high-chrome alloy tool steel granulator and shredder and recycling knives used to break down plastic material. PDK Design & Grinding is an industry leader in the manufacturing of tungsten carbide rotor knives and bed knives for pelletizing plastic before being converted to a final product. Both firms also offer grinding services for the re-sharpening of their respective knives and blades.
