Hypertronics Adds PromTechComplect as Value-Added Distribution Partner in Russia


Hudson, MA (Sept. 19, 2008) Hypertronics Corporation, a Smiths Interconnect business and world-leading provider of high performance interconnect solutions for the most demanding applications; today announced a stocking and assembly agreement with PromTechComplect a value-added distributor based in Moscow, Russia. PromTechComplect will inventory, assemble and distribute Hypertronics' full line of high reliability interconnect products. The relationship with PromTechComplect strengthens Hypertronics already extensive global distribution network, providing customers and prospects in Russia with a local outlet to acquire Hypertronics interconnect solutions, as well as a reliable source for design and technical assistance, timely delivery, application-specific expertise and competitive pricing.

Since establishing business in 1993, PromTechComplect has become a valued partner and supplier to the industrial, oil & gas, and aerospace markets throughout Russia. PromTechComplect's knowledgeable and experienced sales team will visit Hypertronics Headquarters in Hudson, MA during the month of September 2008 for extensive product training on the patented Hypertac® technology, the interconnect solution relied on for decades by leading manufacturers world wide.

Importing products into Russia requires mandatory certification/licensing. PromTechComplect has filed the necessary documentation for approval by relevant Russian authorities in terms of compliance to national standards on behalf of Hypertronics connectors and will stock and assemble products at their facility.

In addition to stocking the full line of Hypertronics connectors, PromTechComplect will assemble components at their facility in Russia, ensuring shorter lead times and relieving import complications making Hypertronics interconnect solutions and services readily available to customers.
