Hydratight Hosts Event for Nuclear Customers

Hydratight will host the 11th Biach Owners' Group Workshop in Somerset, New Jersey, US from 14-17 June.

The annual event, first held in 1997 and usually oversubscribed, allows technical staff to discuss issues relating to nuclear industry vessel closure equipment, share best practice and get answers from company engineers.

The event has become a key date in the calendar of refueling floor and outage managers, maintenance support and mechanical maintenance personnel at nuclear sites all over the US Asia and Europe. This year's workshop will be attended by delegates from major reactor manufacturers and refuelling outage contractors GE Nuclear, Westinghouse and AREVA.

Delegates will also be able to see demonstrations of the latest, state-of-the-art tensioning systems at Hydratight's new 15,000sq ft facility, which has expanded training and support services.

"The owners' workshop is always a stimulating event," said Hydratight's Biach team leader Rich Hill. "We hold it as part of our commitment to support our customers and give attendees the chance to share their experiences. Biach systems have been in service since the late 1950s, so our team has a great deal of experience and technical knowledge to share too.

"It is extremely popular with our existing customers, but we welcome non-owners who feel it could be of value to them. Anyone who might like to come along should get in touch."
