Howard Vaughan Marks 50 Years with Vaughan & Bushnell - 40 as President


HEBRON, IL -- One of the nation's oldest major hand tool producers, Vaughan & Bushnell Manufacturing Company, is honoring the long service of its current president, Howard A. Vaughan, Jr., who is marking his 50th year with the firm.

In addition, 2006 also marks Mr. Vaughan's 40th year as president of the company founded by the Vaughan family in 1869.

As the fourth generation of the founding family, Mr. Vaughan's tenure has been marked by the rapid growth of the firm's product lines and the addition of facilities in Hebron, Illinois and Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. During his presidency Vaughan and Bushnell has become one of the world's largest producers of quality hammers and other striking and struck tools as well as an increasingly varied line of products including pry bars, hatchets,saws, landscaping tools, hickory tool handles and construction tools.

Vaughan products are distributed worldwide to a variety of markets covering both the professional trades person and the serious D-I-Y user. Commenting on his continuing service to the company, Mr. Vaughan promises, "Vaughan will remain steadfastly dedicated to American manufacturing and will continue to pursue growth through innovative new products relevant to the company's many markets."
