Hotsy Announces the Winner of the Oldest Working Hotsy Contest

CAMAS, WA - July 7, 2010 Hotsy, the number one name in North America for high-pressure cleaning equipment, is pleased to announce the winner of our national contest - the search for the Oldest Working Hotsy!

Randy Lemberg of Humboldt, IA, submitted the winning entry and will receive a new Hotsy hot water pressure washer, valued up to $6,700. Randy will work with his local Hotsy dealer - Bill Hansen, Hotsy Equipment Company - who will help him select a new pressure washer to replace his "oldest Hotsy" model.

Randy purchased his Hotsy pressure washer in September of 1976 to use on his family farm, and has washed many different pieces of equipment in the 34 years he owned it.

Randy wrote, "My Hotsy pressure washer has come in handy to wash tractors, combines, grain trucks, pickup trucks, family cars, the inside of barns, and many other items. My Hotsy still has all the original parts except for the hose. This washer was kept inside at all times, and spent winters in a heated building. My Hotsy is in excellent condition, and is still working like the first day it was bought.

You can see that the farm equipment has changed, but the pressure washer has remained the same. This Hotsy pressure washer is now helping the second generation of farmers in my family farm operation. I started washing my 1953 M International Harvester tractor, and now my son is washing a 2008 Case IH tractor with the same washer I used. Just like your slogan says, "Hotsy take it all off", I am a believer in Hotsy pressure washers!"

Tom Sherwood, Special Operations Manager for Hotsy, coincidentally is based out of Humboldt, IA and states, "I think it's very fitting that the winner of the Oldest Hotsy contest resides here in the Humboldt area where Hotsy began. Dowling Distributing was the first Hotsy dealer in the state of Iowa and started in a barn 2-3 miles from the Humboldt Hotsy factory and has grown through the years to the current location. Randy is typical of the Midwest farmer in seeing the value of buying top-of-the-line equipment to maintain and protect his equipment investment. Randy's care and preventative maintenance combined with the local Hotsy dealer (Bill Hansen and Steve Reimers) stocking parts and providing technical support and service when needed, it has proven to be a winning team."

Hotsy is celebrating our 40th anniversary, and the Oldest Working Hotsy contest was part of the promotional activities planned for the year. Hotsy manufactures a full line of high-pressure cleaning equipment, including hot and cold-water pressure washers, biodegradable detergents as well as pressure washer replacement parts and accessories. Hotsy equipment is available exclusively through our network of authorized dealers located throughout North America.
