Honeywell Enables PCM Grafisch Bedrijf to Expand Color Printing Capability and Boost Print Volume

ROTTERDAM, May 23, 2007 - Honeywell (NYSE:HON) today announced that it has won a contract to revamp the printing press control system of leading Dutch publisher PCM Publishers for its printhouse PCM Grafisch Bedrijf Rotterdam. The improvements will enable PCM to print greater quantities of newspapers in richer color on three production lines.

The eight month project, which began in March, is being undertaken by Honeywell in tandem with Bern, Switzerland-based original equipment manufacturer Maschinenfabrik WIFAG. The project involves the extension and reconfiguration of Honeywell's Printa Press Control System at PCM's Rotterdam plant. Honeywell will engineer, install and configure the revised Printa system, which also will incorporate the new shaftless drive system and upgraded DC drives on one of the printing presses.

"We need to meet evolving consumer interests by printing newspapers with more pages with far richer color than we do currently," said Frans Beun, plant director, PCM Grafisch Bedrijf. "Honeywell's Printa system has served us well for 15 years, and it was therefore logical to ask Honeywell to upgrade the system in order to meet our new requirements."

"This project demonstrates how Honeywell can deliver business value over a long period of time by enabling customers to keep pace with market trends and demands," said Juha Kankainen, sales director for printing solutions, Honeywell Process Solutions Europe, Middle East and Africa. "In this case, the revisions we are making to the Printa system will help PCM to strengthen its market position by delivering a better newspaper."
