HighJump WMS Supports Open Voice Platform

PITTSBURGH, JAN. 8, 2007 - Vocollect, Inc., the world leader in Voice-Directed Work, today announced that Marc Glassman, Inc., which operates over 50 discount stores in Northeastern Ohio, has signed an agreement with HighJump Software to deploy Vocollect Voice running on the Psion Teklogix WORKABOUT PRO Speech handheld terminal and Vocollect Talkman wearable computers to improve accuracy and productivity in its distribution center operations.

"Every day we face many unique challenges, and the ability to utilize the same native, real-time direct interface to our HighJump WMS on the Psion Teklogix WORKABOUT PRO Speech provides us with a distinct advantage," says Bob Guddy, vice president of distribution at Marc Glassman, Inc. "Taking this dual approach offers our operations team maximum flexibility with high performance, enabling us to use the WORKABOUT PRO devices for both screen-based RF scanning applications, as well as voice-based applications."

The WORKABOUT PRO Speech product is the result of a development collaboration between Vocollect and Psion Teklogix (LSE: PON), a global provider of solutions for mobile computing, wireless data collection, imaging and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). Because Vocollect Voice delivers equivalent performance on both the WORKABOUT PRO Speech and Vocollect Talkman hardware platforms, there is no compromise on productivity or worker satisfaction.

"HighJump Software is excited that two of our key industry partners have teamed up to develop this high-performing application to meet our clients' needs. The ability to utilize the WORKABOUT PRO Speech for the native, real-time Vocollect Voice applications we've developed with Vocollect for our Warehouse Management System (WMS) provides our customers with additional choices and flexibility in equipment," says Chad Collins, HighJump Software director of product strategy.

"Today our customers expect flexibility and a choice of hardware platforms - without compromising performance or user satisfaction," says Tim Eusterman, Vocollect vice president - marketing and business development. "Our ability to deliver Vocollect Voice with native interface to the HighJump WMS and deploy on both WORKABOUT PRO and Talkman mobile computers demonstrates our commitment to the open voice platform value proposition."

Demos of the WORKABOUT PRO Speech with Vocollect Voice will be at the Material Handling Institute of America (MHIA) ProMat International Conference and Exposition Jan. 8-11 at McCormick Place South in Chicago in Vocollect booth #3452 and Psion Teklogix booth #3441 throughout the duration of the show.
