High-Speed Portable Hygrometer Approved for Explosive Atmospheres in Brazil

Rowley, MA –  Michell Instruments' MDM300 I.S. high-speed portable dew-point hygrometer has gained certification from INMETRO, the Brazilian National Institute of Metrology, Standardization and Industrial Quality for use in hazardous or explosive atmospheres. The MDM300 I.S. already carries certification from ATEX, IECEx, CSA, FM and GOST. The Brazilian certification extends the instruments' global coverage.

With its custom-designed sampling kit, the MDM300 I.S. is able to make reliable measurements in natural gas streams at up to 350 bar, giving readings that are representative of actual process conditions. Because it is a portable instrument, the MDM300 I.S. enables measurements to be made at multiple points in the process – which means that points of moisture ingress are identified quickly and easily before damage is caused.

Michell's thermo-paramagnetic oxygen analyzer, the XTP601 and explosion-proof dew-point transmitter, the Easidew PRO XP, also have INMETRO Certification.
