According to a recent survey of more than 200 users at various data quality conferences around the world in 2005, 75% of respondents felt that data quality should be implemented at a total enterprise level. The survey, conducted by Harte-Hanks Trillium Software, targeted data professionals within large corporations who focus on customer relationship management, data warehousing, compliance, database management and project management. Respondents were surveyed at industry events including Data Asset Management Association, IDQ, Compliance, Business Intelligence, IQ Network Forum as well as various user conferences. The survey also revealed that customer data and financial information were the main focus areas for data quality projects among these respondents.
