Hankook Delcam Holds Largest Ever User Meeting in Korea

Delcam's Korean joint venture, Hankook Delcam, held its most successful user conference ever earlier this month, the seventeenth in its annual series of events. More than 750 delegates attended the meeting held on 8th and 9th September, a clear demonstration of the company's position as the leading CADCAM reseller in the country.
Delegates to the Meeting had their first opportunity to see the new version of Delcam's PowerSHAPE hybrid modelling software. They were impressed by the new interface, designed to make the software easier to learn and to use, and by new functionality like the Smart Surfacing automated surface creation methods.
The other main focus of the meeting was on five-axis machining. Like their competitors around the world, Korean companies are using five-axis machining to increase productivity and reduce delivery times. In the same way, they are also turning to Delcam's PowerMILL CAM software to ensure that they gain the maximum benefit from their new equipment.
Hankook Delcam was established as a joint venture between Delcam and company President Chan Oong Jeong in 1986 to take advantage of the growing market for CADCAM in Korea. It was one of the first resellers formed by Delcam when the company started the international promotion of its software in the 1980s.
