Haenel Storage Systems Supports CASA of Allegheny County
Warrendale, PA - December 6, 2023 – Hänel Storage Systems, a leader in the manufacture and integration of automated vertical storage solutions throughout North America, has pledged a donation to CASA of Allegheny County that will help support abused and neglected children.
CASA of Allegheny County advocates for the rights and well-being of victimized children within the child welfare system, mobilizes community volunteers to make a difference in their neighborhoods, and is the only program that offers such extensive community involvement in the lives of society’s most vulnerable members.
A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer is appointed by a judge to be the voice of a child in court and serves as the "eyes and ears" of the judge in child welfare cases. While caseworkers are employed by state and county governments to work multiple cases at a time, CASA volunteers are assigned to only one child or family in order to better study each child’s individual needs and provide individualized attention. This model of best-interest advocacy has a profound and life-changing impact, ensuring that these children are kept safe and given the opportunity to flourish.
To help vulnerable children during the holiday season, Hänel donated $1400 to be directed toward meals for CASA children and their families. This donation will have a direct impact on their health and well-being during these stressful and uncertain times.
Hänel is a longstanding supporter of CASA and its mission, having sponsored and participated in the organization’s annual Superhero Run for several years.
