H-B Instrument Company Gains ISO 14001:2004 Accreditation

Trappe, PA - 23 JUNE 2009 - This week H-B Instrument Company, a leading manufacturer of glass thermometers, announced they achieved ISO 14001:2004 accreditation through Perry Johnson Registrars, a UKAS and ANAB accredited body. ISO 14001:2004 is an environmental management standard existing to help organizations minimize their negative impact on the environment. "It specifies requirements for establishing an environmental policy, determining environmental aspects and impacts of products/activities/services, planning environmental objectives and measureable targets, implementation and operation of programs to meet objectives and targets, checking and corrective action, and management review." ISO 14001:2004 accreditation outlines what H-B is doing to minimize harmful effects on the environment through its manufacturing processes and how it is working to continually improve its environmental performance in all of its daily activities.
