Greenville Based Kellett Enterprises Certified as a Woman Business Enterprise

Greenville, SC - the National Women Business Owners Corporation, NWBOC, has certified Kellett Enterprises, Inc., as a woman business owned and controlled company.

The certification program increases the ability of women business owners to compete for contracts at a national level. "Certification provides a marketing opportunity for woman owned business enterprises to participate in outreach programs," said Claudia Kellett-McNabb, president and CEO of Kellett Enterprises. "This program enables us to develop relationships with larger companies and to create opportunities for future partnerships in both the public and private sectors."

"NWBOC seeks to increase the ability of women business owners to compete for corporate and government contracts," said Janet Harris-Lange, president of NWBOC.

Kellett Enterprises began as Loom Products Company in 1960 to manufacture and distribute textile machinery, accessories, and supplies. Louise C. Kellett founded the company. She maintained her title as president until 2004.
In 1989, the name changed to Kellett Enterprises, Inc., to symbolize the same management and ownership that has led the organization since day one.

The company has been woman owned and family operated from the beginning.
Kellett owns and operates a building comprising of 16,000 sq. feet of manufacturing and office space in Greenville.

In the late1960s, Kellett developed and patented the LP-13 Shake Absorber® Vibration Isolation Pad, which today is still sold globally and recommended by many of today's large weaving machinery and other equipment manufacturers.

The LP-13 Pad was the first three-layer shake absorber patented in the United States. Today, it is the most widely acclaimed vibration isolation pad in the world, as it effectively absorbs vibration and noise that causes excessive wear and downtime.
