Louisville, KY, August 2, 2007 - CLARK Material Handling Company, a leader in the material handling industry, proudly announces their receipt of the Governor's Safety & Health Award. On July 31, 2007, CLARK's Aftermarket Parts Distribution Center located in Louisville, KY received this award for the second year in a row. Representatives from OSHA and the KY Department of Labor presented the award and joined CLARK's celebration recognizing 1,727 days that their employees have worked without a lost time accident. Department of Labor Commissioner Phillip Anderson presented the award to the safety committee and managers.
CLARK employees and management have worked together for over four years to reach this safety milestone. President and CEO, Dennis Lawrence stated, "We are proud of this achievement and believe that together we have one of the safest workplaces in Kentucky along with the best forklift and parts in the world. We are honored to achieve this award in the same year that we are also celebrating our 90th anniversary in the material handling industry".
CLARK Material Handling Company, a subsidiary of Young An Company, has operated & managed our 180,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art forklift Aftermarket Parts Distribution Center in Louisville, KY since 2001. The North American headquarters is located in Lexington, Kentucky where it manages sales & marketing, customer service, engineering, aftermarket service & support, finance, purchasing, research & development, information services, and manufacturing.
