Global Agents Converge for Cambridge Viscosity Agents Summit 2011

Boston-Agents from around the world attended a comprehensive three-day workshop to learn about Cambridge Viscosity's latest technological advances and leading-edge viscosity management applications. Agent Summit 2011 combined classroom and hands-on laboratory workshops for an integrated and highly successful educational experience for all who attended. Agents from the Americas, Asia, and Europe participated in lively discussions on the viscosity management challenges faced by customers around the globe and the unique solutions Cambridge offers to address those challenges.

The summit began with Cambridge Viscosity awarding Japan Controls as "Best Agent of 2010"and Pensalab as the "Best New Agent." Highly interactive classroom sessions covered sessions on measuring viscosity-fluids, technologies and terminology-through major market applications for Cambridge including medical and optical coating; oil and gas exploration; oil analysis; life sciences; oil refining; and performance coating. Hands-on workshops allowed participants to work on viscometer selection, commissioning, calibration and trouble-shooting.

Cambridge President Robert Kasameyer says, "The summit enhanced communications between Cambridge and our worldwide agents, and provided the opportunity to learn about our products, applications and services, firsthand, as well as to share ideas and best practices." Agents rated the summit very highly for both classroom and workshop quality and effectiveness. Feedback was very positive, with such comments as: "the hands-on workshops were excellent"; exchanging ideas with others facing similar challenges worldwide was very helpful"; and "focusing the classrooms on selling to CVI's best applications was invaluable."
