Gillinder Glass at 2016 IES Aviation Lighting Committee Fall Technology Meeting

Port Jervis, N.Y. –Gillinder Glass engineers, Dave Fox (right) and Christopher Michael (left) recently returned from the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America’s (IESNA) Aviation Lighting Committee’s Fall Technology Meeting and Exhibition held October 23rd through October 27th in San Diego, California.

This event is the largest gathering of dedicated airport lighting professionals, including FAA officials, State Aviation officials, consulting engineers, airport maintenance specialists and airfield lighting equipment manufacturers. The IES Aviation Lighting Committee is the recognized technical authority on illumination for the Aerospace Industry and serves in an advisory capacity to the FAA.

For over 100 years; the IESNA’s objective has been to communicate information on all aspects of good lighting practice to its members, to the lighting community, and to consumers, through a variety of programs, publications, and services. The Aviation Lighting Committee was founded in 1929 to specifically deal with aviation illuminating practices.

Dave Fox, Vice President of Sales and Engineering, explained, “This is where the details of technological advances are fine-tuned and new product designs are finalized for introduction and acceptance into the Aerospace industry.
