August 15, 2008 - American Energy Solutions, Inc. recently introduced a new business segment to complement the comprehensive energy management services the company already offers. According to Mike Moore, president of American Energy, the company started this new business segment, Greenhouse Gas Emission Management, in order to provide clients with the expertise and knowledge they'll need to get their arms around issues related to their GHG emissions.
"There are a number of regulatory mandates and market pressures that are currently in play, and many more are on the horizon," Moore said. "Since these mandates will influence client decisions regarding investments in technology and energy projects, it's important to understand the environmental and economic benefits of those decisions."
From this point forward, GHG Emission Management services will be an integral part of the comprehensive energy management strategies American Energy provides for each of its clients. Key areas of the offering include a GHG inventory management plan with full reporting capabilities, as well as an emissions reduction strategy that focuses on energy conservation & efficiency. American Energy will also help clients develop and manage a carbon credit trading strategy, provide implementation assistance for corporate governance issues, and mitigate associated risks. As a result of this program, clients will gain an emission baseline that can be used for tracking emission reductions, reporting compliance, and leveraging the carbon trading markets for economic benefit.
