GF Piping Unveils Interactive System Selection Tool and Application Library Offering Valuable Resources for Component Specification and Application Tips

TUSTIN, Calif. - June 30, 2006 - GF Piping Systems has announced the addition of a comprehensive, interactive System Selection Tool and Application Library for its Signet product line at www.gfsignet.com. Design engineers, customers and distributors now have an easy-to-use online tool that allows them to quickly select appropriate products and accessories for their unique application, offering a valuable selection source for specifying and purchasing components. Once the system selection is finalized, a complete list of products with part numbers can be printed for reference or e-mailed for ordering. Additional details are available via links to product data sheets and operation manuals.

"The goal of our new Selection Guide and Application Library is to leverage the power of the web to make it easy to choose the right Signet product mix for their specific application requirements," said Dave Vollaire, GF Piping Product Manager. "These new tools empower the customer to put all the pieces together as quickly and as easily as possible."

The System Selection Tool covers the full range of GF Piping's Signet flow sensors, fittings, and flow instrumentation, as well as pH, ORP, conductivity, resistivity, temperature, and pressure instruments. It guides the user through a series of questions and options for sensor type, pipe size, material type, fluid, and flow, temperature and pressure ranges, allowing the system to narrow the product choices and make it easy to choose compatible products. A cross-comparison chart can be used during the process to assist the customer in narrowing the selection and choosing the optimum product.

The Application Library features a tutorial style data bank that enables customers to quickly familiarize themselves with applications and processes suited for the wide range of Signet products. The library provides an introduction to system applications, detailed schematics, technical information and technical articles on specific industries. Articles can be searched for by technology type or by application type for easy navigation and location of information.

Plans to enhance the new interactive tools are already underway. The System Selection Tool will be expanded to include GF Piping's control valve product line while the Application Library will be expanded with additional market segments.

GF Piping supplies a full range of plastic pipe, fittings, tubing, valves, actuators, rotameters, fusion machines, secondary containment, tank linings, heat exchangers, custom products, and sensors and instrumentation for industrial process control.
