Fujitsu Introduces New Document Imaging Training Program

New Program Offers Channel Partners and Employees Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Education Training Opportunities

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Aug. 22 / -- Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., a market leader in document imaging scanners and services, today announced they have launched the Fujitsu Document Imaging Training Program designed to offer additional education venues for its authorized distributors, One Capture Alliance Program (for Fujitsu solution providers) partners and employees. The program is centered on the AIIM Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Certificate Program, which focuses on critical industry issues and covers not just the core ECM technologies, but also the various tools and strategies to achieve successful ECM implementations.

"The success Fujitsu has with strong product sales along with our outstanding service and support group have enabled us to achieve a leadership position in the ECM industry," said Pamela Doyle, director, Imaging Products Group, Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc. "The Fujitsu Imaging Products Group (IPG) wanted to be creative in developing new strategies to maintain our competitive advantage. Having great relationships with our channel partners, we sought their advice on what we could do better to serve them. After all, our channel partners are really an extension of our group. Overwhelmingly, the majority expressed a desire for additional education and training opportunities."

ECM Industry Training
The Association for Information and Image Management (AIIM) International, the international authority on Enterprise Content Management, provides a highly touted training platform that Fujitsu is proud to now offer to its partners. AIIM formed the Enterprise Content Management Certificate Program by tapping into its 70,000 member network to find subject matter from experts on both the end user and vendor-community sides who could help develop a program representing global best practices for ECM. The program covers the strategies, tools, and technologies used to capture, manage, store, preserve, and deliver information in support of business processes. The ECM Certificate Program is comprised of three training workshops including:

o The ECM Practitioner Certification Program: Covers the information
lifecycle and related concepts such as electronic document management,
collaboration, business process management, and electronic records
management.
o The ECM Specialist Certification Program: Covers the implementation and
related processes such as analyzing business requirements, developing a
business case, and planning the implementation including change
management.
o The ECM Master Certification Program: Enables attendees to take their
knowledge of the main elements from all of the above training programs
and apply them to real world applications and case studies.

"If we continue to educate and train our partners to keep up with all that is going on in a rapidly growing and evolving industry, there will be more successful ECM solutions and implementations. This success will breed even more satisfied customers and partners," said Victor Kan, vice president, sales and marketing, Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc. "Furthermore, not only will adopting a program like this help retain our knowledgeable and highly trained personnel, but it will also help Fujitsu attract more of the best and brightest."
