Chair of the IEEE P802.3ba Task Force to Report on the Current and Future State of Ethernet Technology
SAN JOSE, Calif., Aug. 31 - Force10 Networks, Inc., a global technology leader that data center, service provider and enterprise customers rely on when the network is their business, today announced that John D'Ambrosia, Director, Ethernet-based Standards in the CTO Office at Force10 Networks, will be a featured speaker at the Network World 2010 9th Ethernet World Conference & Expo in Beijing, China on September 9.
D'Ambrosia, who also chaired the IEEE P802.3ba Task Force that oversaw the development and ratification of 40GbE (Gigabit Ethernet) and 100GbE Ethernet standards, will provide an architectural overview of the recently ratified standard and explore future technology and standards development efforts. D'Ambrosia's will speak at 9:30am (Beijing time) in the Sofitel Hotel.
With a conference overarching theme of "Experiencing Networks That Influence the World," session participants will learn more about the current status of Ethernet standards in the global market and China, future Ethernet network trends and next-generation applications. As an industry expert on 40G and 100G Ethernet, D'Ambrosia will lead an in-depth discussion with session participants about the Ethernet ecosystem and technology evolution. Moreover, he will share his observations about the applications that are driving the development of Ethernet standards.
