Flowserve Receives Inaugural Award for Business Cooperation From Indo-American Chamber in Chenna, , India


Company's Long-term Support of Indo-U.S. Business Relations Honored at Award Ceremony

Chennai, India- April 12, 2007 - Flowserve Corp. (NYSE: FLS), today was honored as the recipient of the Indo-American Chamber-Sanmar Indo-U.S. Business Cooperation Award. Lewis Kling, President and CEO of Flowserve accepted the award in Chennai, India on behalf of the company, who has had manufacturing operations in the country for over 40 years. Flowserve is a world leader in fluid motion and control products and services to the oil and gas, power, chemical processing and water sectors as well as other industries.

In its inaugural year, the award was developed to recognize the efforts of individuals and business enterprises for their significant contribution in promoting Indo-U.S. relationships through business and economic activity. The award serves as a benchmark for excellence in building relationships between India and the U.S.

The award was presented by R. Anand, Chairman of the Indo-American Chamber and N. Sankar, Chairman of Sanmar Group, at a ceremony in Chennai attended by U.S. and India government leaders and representatives of the international business community.

The award recognized Flowserve's business relationship and operations in India, which date back over 40 years. In addition to its history in the region, Flowserve has company offices in Bangalore, Chennai and Coimbatore as well as joint venture partners located in Chennai, Hubli and Coimbatore.
