Flowserve Invests in Research and Development Flow Control Engineering Facility Opens in Bangalore


Dallas, Texas- July 9, 2007 - Flowserve Corporation (NYSE: FLS), a global provider of fluid motion and control products and services, announces the opening of the Flow Control Engineering Center (FCEC), a new research and development facility in Bangalore, India.

"The FCEC joins similar facilities for pumps and seals in Chennai and Bangalore," said Flowserve Chairman and CEO Lew Kling. "The investment in this facility underscore's our ongoing commitment to research and development, as well as the global nature of our business."

The FCEC provides dedicated support for product and technology development projects from conceptualization through final drawings and pre-production prototypes. It provides engineering support for bill of materials (BOM) generation, customer assembly drawings, and automated drafting.

The FCEC also supports the development of technical documentation such as technical write-up, animations, and photorealistic 3D models.
