FlexLink First Quarter Report 2010


Order intake increased significantly while sales increased moderately. Profit was negatively affected by currency and sales mix effects.

Net sales increased with 5 % to SEK 300 million and the order intake increased with 21 % to SEK 325 million. Mattias Perjos, CEO: "We saw a continuing strength in the order intake with a healthy growth in our order book and good increase in net sales. Sales mix and currency effects had a negative effect on our profitability. The positive trend is expected to continue throughout the year."

o Net sales for the first quarter were USD 42 (34) million which is an increase of 22 % compared to previous year.
o The order intake for the period was USD 48 (34) million which is a significant increase of 39 % compared to previous year.
o Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization of intangible assets (EBITDA) were USD 3 (3) million. The EBITDA margin was 6 % (9 %). Earnings were impacted by currency and sales mix effects, and additional product launch costs.
o Significant orders were received from the Electronics and Food industries.
o On January 18, a new compact conveyor platform with embedded controls was launched. The new platform reaches new application areas and customer groups. The first substantial orders have been received.
